Description
  • Carbon Dioxide Plants can be generated by combusting carbonaceous materials like fuel oil, kerosene, diesel, LNG, CNG, LPG, coal and such other fuels. The process of purifying CO2 is obtained from burning of fuel, using MEA (Monoethanolamin) in an aqueous solution which has been known for quite some time. The plant uses a modernized process by which high purity and food quality CO2 can be obtained. The plant has the latest automatic control equipment and is easy to operate and requires very little maintenance. The CO2 containing combustion gases passes through a pre-cleaning stage and is brought into contact with an aqueous MEA solution which absorbs CO2. Afterwards, the CO2 gas is desorbed from this solution and compressed to the required pressure using special compressors. This is followed by cleaning, drying and final cleaning stages of CO2 gas which is then liquefied and filled in a storage tank.
  • CO2 Recovery Plants is available as one of the ingredients in many gases in industry like boiler / furnace flue gas, generator flue gas, biogas in waste treatment plant, fermentor off-gases in distillery or other fermentation processes, off-gas from calcium carbonate Kiln and so on. The plants, which recover CO2 plant this, are termed as CO2 recovery plants.
Application:

Co2 Recovery From Boiler Flue Gas-
  • The boiler flue gas has varying content of CO2, O2, N2, and moisture depending upon the fuel used and the combustion / thermal efficiency of a boiler. The SO2/H2S content also varies based on sulfur content of fuel. This flue gas is cooled, washed to make it free of dust, SO2/H2S and then the CO2 is recovered in ethanolamine column. The recovered CO2 is purified in the KMnO4 wash column, compressed, dried and condensed to produce liquid. The so manufactured liquid CO2 is sent to storage tank.
Co2 Recovery From Biogas-
  • The biogas contains about 30-35% CO2 & balance methane (on the dry basis). The CO2 of biogas can be absorbed to produce methane-rich gas. The biogas is processed to recover CO2 after scrubbing Sulfur gases. The emitted gas is methane-rich. The methane-rich gas can then be subsequently dissolved in the suitable solvent and filled in cylinders for subsequent use as fuel. The enriched methane can also be used to drive the gas turbine and generate power with increased electrical output.
Co2 Recovery From Fermentation Off Gases
  • Various fermentation processes produced off-gases rich in CO2 during biological fermentations. These gases may contain sulfurous gases like H2S, SO2, mercaptans. Our process includes precleaning of these sulfurous gases and then recovery of CO2 from compression & liquefaction OR absorption-desorption column operation
CO2 recovery during slaked lime production-
  • Slaked lime is produced from calcium carbonate through calcination. The gas from calculator is washed off the impurities to recover CO2.

We have designed liquefiers with capacities ranging from 5 to more than 20,000 liters per hour. A liquefier is an open system which produces a liquid output and requires an equivalent quantity of feed gas as an input. The mass flow rates involved in the respective refrigeration process are asymmetric. Depending on the requirements and specific application, Hi-tech offers a range of standard and special systems for Gas Liquifiers
    • For universities and research institutes with a liquid Gas requirement of 5 to 300 l/h, For Commercial Applications standard liquefiers are provided with turbine & Piston expanders, performance ratings is achieved by using different compressors and operation with or without liquid nitrogen precooling (as per liquefier model selected). Integrated into the cold box is a freeze-out purifier to remove contaminants from the process gas. All standard systems are fitted with a Siemens S-7-300 automatic control and monitoring system. A PC system is offered for visualization and remote operation. The control system can be fitted with online access for supervisors
